Reviews
Up Lifting, a go see film about an incredible young man and his devoted sister.A tool that should be in every pediatricians office. A must see for every family that has an Up Syndrome child.
...when I watched "Deedah", I was overwhelmed with the interaction between Deedah and Jonathan. Jonathan has such a positive outlook on life.....he melted my heart when he said he has Up syndrome.
We had a rating system of 1 to 5, and I gave this film a 5 ++++++++.
Brooke, thank you so much for sharing your family's story with the world.
First of all-WOW! You captured almost everything in this 25 minute DVD. Charlotte expressed her true feelings and what wonderful insight she has about people with disabilities. The music, video and interview all intertwined wonderfully. You captured Jonathon’s entire life at the present time and all his natural abilities. You can just feel the family love and the closeness of Charlotte and Jonathan. I really enjoyed how natural you brought out the educational component. Charlotte is very comfortable speaking and expresses her feelings from the heart. The video spots in the community, at school, in the neighborhood truly show the natural integration. I especially liked the educational part on bullying. Charlotte is keenly aware of how some people look and act differently towards Jonathon. She will always be his biggest advocate and teacher.
I really liked the choice of music and how it fits with all the pictures and activities. I truly learned a lot from this video. I applaud you for your timeless effort to make this a piece that will be enjoyed by anyone who sees it.

Call me......I am involved in an organization called the Kings' Daughters and Sons. One of our ministries focuses on Jonathan's disability. We are having our Regional Branch Conventions in two weeks in Brunswick. I would love to be able to share Jonathan's video and his incredicle story. I, of course, would do nothing like that without your permission!
Hugs and Love,
Marilyn
