I was so moved (from laughing, to tearing up, to smiling so much that I thought my heart would burst) that I immediately went to buy it. Since then, I've shown my whole family and my son's early intervention teacher, who showed her son, a 24 year old with Down syndrome. I work for a board of education in southern New Jersey and hope to inspire our Supervisor of Early Education to put this in our schools' libraries. I will do my best to spread the word! I have to say that your family is simply beautiful and inspiring. It's videos like these that convinces me that we CAN change perceptions; we can change the world. Thank you for sharing your story! I'm upset that I didn't catch the screening of Deedah in Orlando, but I've ordered my own copy and can't wait for it to arrive! I have two boys, 19 & 20...my 19-year old (Jared) has Down Syndrome and has called his brother (Justin) Audie since they were 4 & 5. We've never figured out if Audie meant brother or Justin, but Audie is our Audie and always will be, thanks to his brother!
